I'm a natural redhead, strawberry blonde actually. My hair is very oily. And a lot of other redheads that I've known have complained about their hair being oily as well. One actually told me that all redheads have oily hair. Is it true?Is it true that all redheads have oily hair?
It's not exactly a statistical fact or anything. Just seems that way, oily hair is caused by excessive sebum on their scalp. Sebum is an oily substance secreted from a gland in mammals skin.
Generally speaking people with straight hair complain about it more than curly, but that should be the only difference, color has nothing to do with it.Is it true that all redheads have oily hair?
No, it has nothing to do with hair color and just depends on the person's oil glands and hygine habits. Plenty of brunettes, blondes, and redheads have oily hair, but many do not...it just depends.
No, oil y hair can be a result from puberty, not washing hair thouroughly, or just naturally, but I know plenty of non oily haired red heads lol
My hair is auburn, so it isn't completely red, but mine is hardly oily. It's pretty normal I guess.
I've saw some people with REALLY red hair and their's looks so dry and brittle...
Hope I helped :)
