Is it true that the pain in the inner thighs is called lightning?

I saw another question and they said they have that and think it is called lightning. Well I have that pain a lot lately and wanted to know what it is called. I am 38 weeks pregnant. Is it true that the pain in the inner thighs is called lightning?
I figured it was just because your hip ligiments where stretching getting ready for the baby head to pop out. Lightning is usually referance to the feeling of the baby dropping into the womans pelvis. Its called lightning because you can breath deep again. Is it true that the pain in the inner thighs is called lightning?
I believe this is called ';lightening';, not lightning.
Yes it is called Lightening when the babies head drops into the lower pelvis. It does cause lots of pain.
As far along as you are, yes. Its when the baby drops down to prepare for birth (puts the crown of its head up against the cervix).
