If it smells that bad, there is something wrong and you need to call your doctor. Which is why they always make you call and tell them the color of it and if it smells bad as soon as it breaks.

Not according to What To Expect When You Are Expecting, it should smell slightly sweet.
I dont think it has a foul smell, maybe it depends on the women?
