Is it true plants need sugar and oxygen to carry out photosynthesis?

In photosynthesis plants take carbon dioxide, CO2 from the air, water H2O from the ground and sunlight to make sugar, C6H12O6, and give off Oxygen, O2. They also use O2 in respiration. They use sugar for their own energy, but not to carry out photosynthesis.

6CO2 + 6 H2O ---%26gt; C6H12O6 +6 O2Is it true plants need sugar and oxygen to carry out photosynthesis?
listen im just a pimp not a tree hugger so i dont know

Is it true plants need sugar and oxygen to carry out photosynthesis?
No it is the oppisite of that..
No.

It's

sunlight + CO2 +H20 =%26gt;photosynthesis =%26gt; Carbs + 02
most plants do but i think that some don't
I do believe that in order for plants to breath they need sunlight and oxygen which then gets turned into a sugar
yes
yes. but they don't use the sugar that we buy in bags. they use glucose combined with oxygen and light and stuff.
NO -- just the opposite.

Plants use photosynthesis to create sugar and oxygen.
